Junior Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience, preferably in high exposure, catastrophic, personal injury cases, including products liability and general negligence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking and defending expert and witness depositions, drafting motions and other litigation-related documents, developing client relationships, and preparing for trial.

Duties:

• Take and defend expert and witness depositions.
• Draft original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters.
• Draft discovery requests and responses to be exchanged with various parties.
• Develop client relationships through oral and written communication.
• Prepare for trial including motions in limine, exhibit lists, and witness lists.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and execution.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 2+ years of experience, preferably in high exposure, catastrophic, personal injury cases, including products liability and general negligence.
• Experience in a billable work environment.
• Self-motivated individual with high energy willing to meet deadlines and complete responsibilities.
• Superior written and oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top law school.

Certifications:

Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills with experience in taking and defending depositions.
• Proficient in drafting motions and other litigation-related documents.
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
