Job Overview:
A Los Angeles-based law firm is seeking a seasoned Trial Attorney to manage a high-volume docket of plaintiff-side personal injury and public liability cases. This role emphasizes courtroom presence, team leadership, and strategic litigation planning. Ideal candidates will possess trial proficiency, fluency in Spanish (preferred), and a demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and integrity-driven legal practice.

Duties

• Manage litigation from case initiation through post-trial proceedings

• Lead and mentor members of the litigation team

• Conduct depositions of clients, witnesses, and expert professionals

• Review and refine legal documents prepared by support staff and junior attorneys

• Prepare pre-trial documentation, including Motions in Limine

• Devise and execute trial strategies

• Engage in settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution forums

• Serve as lead or co-chair in jury trials

• Draft post-trial motions and provide informed legal opinions

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant civil litigation experience

• At least 3 first-chair jury trials completed

• 5+ years of experience handling personal injury matters

• Licensed and active member of the California State Bar

• Demonstrated ability to handle high caseloads and meet tight deadlines

• Proven proficiency in legal research, motion practice, and courtroom procedure

• An effective multitasker in dynamic legal environments

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing

• Strategic thinker with solid negotiation capabilities

• Strong leadership and collaboration skills

• Fluency in Spanish is considered a significant advantage
