Duties

• Oversee client files and ensure efficient case progression.
• Provide legal guidance and set the tempo for the team.
• Develop legal strategies and analyze legal issues.
• Conduct Higher Level Review Informal Conferences and BVA Hearings.
• Draft BVA Briefs, Memorandums, and motions.
• Manage proceedings at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
• Make strategic decisions on medical/vocational opinions and appeals.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in at least one state.
• Minimum five years of experience in veterans benefits law.
• Experience representing claimants at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims or as an Attorney Advisor at the BVA.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical and research skills.
• Ability to lead a team of case managers and staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving veterans and their families.
• Tech-savvy.

Education

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
