Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm located in Miami, FL is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to contribute to its Civil Litigation team. The ideal candidate will engage in a diverse range of legal matters including commercial disputes and cyber liability cases. This position requires strong legal research, analytical writing, and courtroom advocacy skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Duties:

• Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Respond to discovery requests and manage the discovery process

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Represent clients at court hearings and mediations

• Prepare cases for trial and attend trial proceedings

• Manage case files and maintain organized documentation

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients throughout all phases of litigation

Requirements:

• Admission to the Florida Bar (active and in good standing)

• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy capabilities

• Ability to manage caseloads independently while contributing to team goals

• Demonstrated diligence, responsibility, and proactive communication

• Prior experience in civil and/or commercial litigation preferred

• Admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida is strongly preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Florida Bar admission (mandatory)

• Federal court admission preferred (Southern District of Florida)

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal analysis, drafting, and case strategy

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Spanish fluency (reading, writing, speaking) strongly preferred

• Proficient in legal research tools and litigation management software
