A leading national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Sports Practice Group in San Francisco. This role is ideal for a transactional attorney with 4–6 years of experience who is passionate about the sports and entertainment industries. The position focuses on commercial transactions such as naming rights, sponsorships, licensing, and venue development agreements. It offers the opportunity to work closely with high-profile clients across professional leagues, media companies, entertainers, and athletes. Candidates with experience in real estate, intellectual property, or general corporate transactions may also be considered if they demonstrate strong deal execution capabilities.

Draft and negotiate commercial agreements within the sports and entertainment sectors
Handle contracts such as naming rights, sponsorship, service, promotional, and licensing agreements
Support transactions involving venue development, media rights, athlete and entertainer endorsements, and operational agreements
Collaborate with partners and legal teams across offices to serve sports industry clients
Provide legal advice to a range of stakeholders including sports leagues, teams, venues, entertainers, and media companies
Potential to assist on matters related to real estate, IP, and general corporate law
4 to 6 years of transactional legal experience
Demonstrated experience with sports and entertainment industry agreements (preferred)
Strong drafting and negotiating skills
Ability to manage complex transactions from start to finish
Experience in related transactional areas such as real estate or corporate law is beneficial
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
Expertise in commercial contract negotiation
Understanding of sports and entertainment legal frameworks
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strategic problem-solving and client management
