Job Overview:
A leading personal injury law firm is seeking a Trial Attorney to join its Atlanta office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced litigation attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for advocating for clients injured in motor vehicle accidents. The ideal candidate will manage a full litigation caseload, from case filing through trial, while leading a litigation team and maintaining high standards of service and courtroom excellence.
Location:
Atlanta, Georgia
Duties:
Manage and litigate personal injury cases from inception to trial
Draft and respond to discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare cases for trial
Conduct regular client meetings and maintain ongoing communication
Supervise and lead a litigation team of five or more staff members
Attend and advocate in court for motions, hearings, mediations, and trials
Oversee case strategy and ensure compliance with case timelines and goals
Participate in pre-litigation negotiations when applicable
Assist in firm branding through content creation and community engagement
Seek client reviews and testimonials post-resolution
Stay current with trends in trucking and commercial vehicle accident litigation
Pursue board certification in truck accident law (desired but not mandatory)
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience
Prior trial experience preferred
Commercial motor vehicle case experience a plus
Comfortable leading litigation teams and managing support staff
Proven success in handling motor vehicle accident litigation
Willing to handle a flexible schedule as needed for case demands
Committed to delivering top-tier legal service and advocacy
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active and in good standing with the Bar in Georgia, Texas, or Illinois
Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Advanced legal research skills using tools like Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions
Proficiency in managing litigation software and case management systems
Leadership and mentoring capabilities
