A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in Summit, NJ. The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney with strong litigation fundamentals and hands-on experience. This role involves managing complex disputes, working directly with clients, and exercising judgment in various litigation matters.

Duties

• Represent clients in commercial and employment litigation in state and federal courts, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.
• Handle shareholder, member, and partnership disputes.
• Litigate restrictive covenant matters, including non-competition and trade secret disputes.
• Manage disputes involving data breaches and technology-related claims.
• Litigate intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright claims.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs; conduct depositions; argue motions; assist with hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Serve as a direct point of contact for clients and contribute to litigation strategy.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial or complex business disputes.
• Prior judicial clerkship experience preferred.
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience managing discovery, motion practice, and client communications.
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
