Duties:

• Handle sophisticated commercial bankruptcy matters, including both litigation and transactional work.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to clients in business reorganization and financial restructuring.
• Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client advice.
• Communicate directly with clients, ensuring clarity and timeliness in providing updates and recommendations.
• Manage case files and legal documentation in an organized and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex restructuring matters.
• Engage in negotiations with creditors, debtors, and other parties involved in restructuring deals.
• Participate in court appearances, including hearings and trials as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial bankruptcy, business reorganization, or financial restructuring.
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy law, including litigation and transactional practices.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle complex legal matters with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and communicating effectively with clients.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments and managing cases independently.
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to the success of the practice group.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar in New York (or jurisdiction of practice).
