Duties

• Represent plaintiffs in complex litigation, including consumer protection class actions.
• Draft and file legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
• Develop and manage discovery plans, including taking and defending depositions.
• Attend court hearings and argue motions when necessary.
• Prioritize tasks and manage a demanding caseload effectively.
• Identify potential cases through initial investigations and strategic case evaluation.
• Collaborate with team members while also taking initiative to work independently.
• Engage in legal strategy development and demonstrate deep understanding of complex legal issues.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in consumer class actions (plaintiff or defense side).
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
• Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and independently.
• Strong work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to work nights or weekends if necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California (or eligibility for California Bar admission).
