Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Insurance Coverage Attorney in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in handling program matters, including coverage analysis and monitoring matters involving D&O management liability, employment practices liability, lawyers professional liability, and other professional liability lines.

Duties

• Analyze insurance policies.
• Draft coverage opinions, reservations of rights, and disclaimers.
• Monitor D&O, EPL, LPL, and E&O cases across the U.S.
• Retain and communicate with defense counsel for insureds.
• Prepare bordereau and other client-specific reports.
• Report and meet with underwriters and program producers.

Requirements

• Experience interpreting D&O, EPL, LPL, E&O, and various other insurance policies.
• Experience drafting coverage opinions and coverage letters.
• Experience with Lloyd's of London program accounts, highly preferred.
• Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
