Job Overview:
A law firm based in Omaha, NE, is seeking a motivated and experienced associate attorney to join its corporate practice group. This role emphasizes transactional work in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and general corporate law. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior attorneys and participate in a variety of deal structures while continuing to develop professionally within a supportive, team-based environment.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate complex transactional documents for corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and securities offerings

• Provide strategic legal guidance on corporate governance and compliance matters

• Conduct legal due diligence and assess risk factors in corporate deals

• Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and professionals on deal execution

• Handle multiple client matters simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency

• Support business development and client engagement initiatives

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate transactional law, including exposure to M&A or securities matters

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple workstreams in a fast-paced setting

• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and research skills

• Strong professional judgment and the ability to take initiative

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Nebraska State Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission within one year

Skills:

• Advanced written and verbal communication proficiency
