Associate Attorney needed for New York City office

A law firm in New York City is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private debt or private equity transactions, debt financings, structured equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.

Duties:

• Assist in private debt and private equity transactions
• Handle debt financings, structured equity investments, and secondary transactions
• Participate in early and late stage private equity investments
• Support mergers and acquisitions activities
• Provide legal advice on general corporate matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and transactional documents
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on complex legal matters
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York Bar; Admission to the Delaware Bar is a plus
• 3+ years of experience working on private debt or private equity transactions
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the New York Bar; Admission to the Delaware Bar is a plus
