Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Associate with 4-7 years of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring to join their team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing various stakeholders in Chapter 11 proceedings and corporate reorganization matters.

Duties

• Represent debtors, secured creditors, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and related legal documents.
• Present motions in bankruptcy court and attend evidentiary hearings.
• Collaborate with a large team within the Bankruptcy & Business Reorganization Practice Group.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring.
• Experience with Am-Law Top-100 Law-Firm preferred.
• Law-clerk experience for a bankruptcy judge is a plus.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral communication skills.
• Experience in distressed healthcare, senior living, or education is a plus.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) of practice.
