Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Albany, NY, is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with at least three years of relevant experience. This position requires a strong background in commercial litigation, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to contractual disputes, business torts, and employment-related issues.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct legal research to support litigation strategies and client advice.
• Develop case strategies and provide advice to clients based on analysis of legal precedents and case law.
• Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and legal teams on case management.
• Handle client communications and ensure timely updates regarding case progress.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction law and/or labor and employment law is a plus.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid NY State Bar License (required).

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
