Job Title: Immigration Attorney
Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a dynamic Associate Immigration Attorney to join its expanding practice. Duties:
Provide strategic advice to clients by explaining complex immigration concepts and procedures
Represent detained and non-detained individuals before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct client intake sessions, including visits to detention centers
Manage a caseload of immigration matters, maintaining effective case progression
Prepare a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense, humanitarian relief, and family-based petitions
Review, revise, and finalize immigration applications and supporting documents
Present on immigration law updates to law enforcement, prosecutorial agencies, and community organizations
Meet with potential clients to conduct consultations and develop case strategies
Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and USCIS interviews
Draft legal briefs and memoranda in support of immigration applications and litigation
Conduct legal analysis to identify case benefits and potential risks
Requirements:
1 to 4 years of experience practicing immigration law
Strong collaborative spirit, with the ability to strategize and work cohesively with legal team members
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to manage cases independently while ensuring quality service
Experience with a broad range of immigration matters, including family petitions, humanitarian claims, detained cases, EOIR proceedings, citizenship applications, and other USCIS processes
Familiarity with immigration case management software is preferred
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedures
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively
Commitment to client service and high ethical standards
