Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Immigration Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to focus on EOIR matters, including removal defense, family-based immigration, and detained representation. This position offers the opportunity to grow within a supportive legal environment while managing a meaningful caseload and collaborating with a team of experienced immigration attorneys and legal assistants.
Location:
Las Vegas, Nevada
Duties:
Represent detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
Conduct legal consultations and provide strategic immigration guidance to potential clients
Prepare a wide range of immigration applications including family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, and USCIS filings
Draft and submit legal briefs, motions, and other filings before EOIR and BIA
Visit detention centers to perform client intakes and case assessments
Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and USCIS interviews
Monitor legal and procedural developments relevant to immigration and removal defense
Collaborate with community partners, prosecutors, and law enforcement on legal matters and public education
Maintain timely communication with clients and manage deadlines across multiple active cases
Work closely with colleagues to ensure case efficiency and legal compliance
Requirements:
1 to 5 years of experience practicing immigration law, particularly in EOIR and removal defense
Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to collaborative legal work
Experience handling family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, detained cases, and citizenship applications
Familiarity with legal case management systems preferred
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
Active and in good standing with a state bar
Skills:
Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Strong legal research and analytical capabilities
Ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients
Organizational skills and detail-oriented case management
Comfortable working with vulnerable populations
Adaptable, proactive, and client-focused mindset
