Location:

Duties:
Draft high-quality memorandums, appeals, and legal briefs for EOIR, BIA, and federal appellate courts
Prepare and file motions to reopen in complex immigration cases
Handle cases involving Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and incorporate findings into litigation strategy
Conduct in-depth legal research to support nuanced appellate arguments
Maintain organized and compliant case files, documentation, and court records
Stay current on changes in immigration law relevant to appeals and federal litigation
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal assistants to develop winning case strategies
Communicate case updates and legal options to clients clearly and professionally
Support firmwide legal writing initiatives and help elevate the quality of submissions
Requirements:
4–5 years of experience in immigration law with a focus on appellate writing and litigation
Demonstrated success drafting legal documents for EOIR, BIA, and federal courts
Experience with motions to reopen and FOIA-related legal analysis
Ability to manage deadlines across multiple cases with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to legal accuracy
Ability to collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas
Experience with legal case management software preferred
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
Active and in good standing with applicable state bar
Skills:
Advanced legal writing and research capabilities
Strong analytical thinking and argument development
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Skilled in legal analysis of FOIA documents and administrative records
Team-oriented with a professional and proactive work ethic
Well-organized with the ability to handle complex case documentation
