A leading debt collection law firm in the tri-state area is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its Parsippany, NJ office. This full-time position is ideal for attorneys with 0–5 years of experience who are looking to gain substantial litigation experience in a structured, plaintiff-oriented environment. The role involves managing cases through all phases of litigation, including frequent court appearances. This position includes a comprehensive training program and does not require billable hours, offering an excellent opportunity for early-career development.

Location:

• Parsippany, New Jersey

Duties:

• Handle litigation matters from case inception through trial

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents

• Attend weekly court appearances across New Jersey

• Engage in settlement negotiations and trial preparation

• Collaborate with legal support staff for file management

• Participate in one weekend workday per month

Requirements:

• 0–5 years of legal experience

• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey

• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week and one weekend day monthly

• Experience in litigation or collections preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar admission in New Jersey (mandatory)

• Admission in New York or Pennsylvania is a plus

Skills:
