Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Miami, FL, is actively seeking an accomplished Litigation Attorney with deep expertise in personal injury matters. This role involves managing high-stakes litigation from initial filing through trial and verdict. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in developing case strategies, guiding litigation teams, and advocating in court on behalf of injured clients. Duties:

• Initiate and manage litigation for personal injury claims in both state and federal courts

• Conduct initial client consultations and oversee case filings

• Draft and respond to interrogatories and discovery requests

• Schedule, prepare for, and conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses

• Coordinate with medical and liability experts; retain and depose professionals as needed

• Argue motions and represent clients at pre-trial hearings

• Lead settlement negotiations and represent clients during mediations

• Prepare cases for trial, including development of litigation strategy and witness preparation

• First-chair jury trials and managing post-verdict motions

• Participate in internal litigation reviews and training sessions

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida (in good standing)

• Demonstrated success managing a robust caseload in personal injury litigation

• At least two completed jury trials as lead/first-chair attorney

• Ability to work autonomously while providing leadership to litigation support staff

• Comfort handling complex injury cases, including catastrophic injury, malpractice, and TBI claims

• Track record of securing favorable settlements or verdicts

• Strong research and motion practice capabilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Florida Bar license (mandatory)

Skills:

• Advanced litigation strategy and courtroom presentation

• Strong written and oral advocacy

• Effective negotiation and mediation techniques

• Case management from intake through post-trial motions

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment
