Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced associate to join its Real Estate practice in Omaha, NE. The candidate will focus on complex business and real estate finance transactions, emphasizing taxable and tax-exempt financings and low-income housing tax credits. Duties

• Review, draft, and manage transaction due diligence.
• Review, draft, and negotiate transaction documents in finance and real estate matters.
• Prepare loan documents, including loan agreements and security instruments.
• Review and analyze surveys and title commitments for acquisitions and lending transactions.
• Coordinate and conduct transaction closings.
• Review and prepare organizational and authorizing documents.
• Ensure appropriate approvals are in place before transactions are executed.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in relevant areas of the law.

Requirements

• Knowledge of and ability to analyze applicable laws governing transactions.
• Proficiency in real estate or finance transactions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail.
• Exceptional research and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability and confidence to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team environment.

Education

• Currently admitted to practice in Nebraska with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year required.
• 1+ years of experience in transactional matters in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Candidates with excellent academic record given preference.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Nebraska or eligibility for admission within one year.
