Job Overview:
A nationally recognized immigration law firm is seeking a skilled Immigration Attorney with strong legal analysis experience to join its remote team, based in Dallas, TX. This role is focused on conducting in-depth legal reviews of client immigration files obtained through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The ideal candidate will identify possible forms of relief, assess eligibility for immigration benefits, and provide strategic legal recommendations. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in high-impact immigration cases while working alongside a collaborative team of professionals.

Duties:
Analyze immigration case files obtained via FOIA to identify eligibility for immigration relief
Conduct detailed reviews of client histories and legal documents to determine case direction
Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting internal deadlines and quality standards
Prepare internal reports outlining findings, legal pathways, and next steps
Coordinate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure accuracy and consistency in file assessments
Stay current on developments in U.S. immigration law affecting family-based petitions, asylum, removal defense, and related areas
Deliver findings and legal strategies clearly for client-facing attorneys and team use
Support internal knowledge sharing by documenting procedural and legal updates
Requirements:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in immigration law
Strong background in legal research and case file analysis
Ability to independently assess client histories and complex legal scenarios
Demonstrated success in managing caseloads efficiently and meeting deadlines
Familiarity with FOIA-related file reviews is highly valued
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
Member in good standing with applicable state bar
Skills:
Excellent legal research and writing abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with analytical thinking
Ability to navigate nuanced immigration law issues
Proficiency in using legal case management software preferred
Team-oriented with a high level of independence and accountability
