Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigator to join its team at the partner level. This remote position is ideal for a Texas-licensed attorney with a strong background in defending complex litigation matters, particularly in the areas of trucking and premises liability. The role requires the ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining high billing standards and delivering exceptional client service.

Location:

• Dallas, TX

Duties:

• Manage and litigate a caseload focused on insurance defense, including trucking and premises liability cases

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with clients and legal teams

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members

• Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings as needed

• Meet billing expectations (minimum 160 billable hours per month)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on insurance defense

• Significant experience in trucking and premises liability cases

• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution

• Proven track record of meeting billing targets and managing a high-volume caseload

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Texas (required)

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Skilled in client communication and relationship management

• Effective negotiation and litigation capabilities

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
