Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney with four to five years of experience to join the Labor and Employment Department in the New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience representing employers in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and before government agencies. Traditional labor experience is a plus.

Duties

• Advise employers on a wide range of employment law matters.
• Handle discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.
• Manage wage and hour compliance and disputes, including class and collective actions.
• Ensure compliance with the FMLA, ADA, and other leave laws.
• Address breach of contract and whistleblower claims.
• Enforce and defend noncompete and non-solicitation agreements.

Requirements

• Four to five years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in federal and state courts, arbitration, and government agencies.
• Active NY license in good standing.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials required.

Certifications

• Active NY license in good standing.

Skills

• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
