The Associate Attorney will collaborate with experienced attorneys and handle a range of bankruptcy and restructuring matters, benefiting from the firm's extensive commercial litigation, fiduciary litigation, white-collar litigation, and insurance litigation resources.
Duties:
- Collaborate with senior attorneys in handling bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights cases.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
- Assist in the development and execution of case strategies.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and precedents.
Requirements:
- 3 to 4 years of relevant legal experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights.
- Exceptional academic records and a strong track record of writing and analytical skills.
- Prior judicial clerkship experience is advantageous.
- Mandatory Bar membership in at least one of the following states: Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Bar in one or more of Delaware, New Jersey, or New York.
Certifications:
- Bar membership in Delaware, New Jersey, or New York is required.
Skills:
- Legal research and analysis.
- Legal writing and document drafting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Case management and organization.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors' rights laws and regulations.
