This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, focusing on employment law and civil litigation. The role involves close collaboration with experienced legal professionals in a hands-on, in-person setting.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, and other court filings

• Assist with case strategy and provide legal analysis on employment-related issues

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and legal correspondence

• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and courtroom proceedings

• Engage in negotiations and settlement discussions

• Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure timely progress on active matters

• Collaborate with supervising attorneys on trial preparation and case development

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in West Virginia

• Experience practicing law, ideally with exposure to litigation or employment law

• Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and persuasive legal writing

• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal oversight

• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the West Virginia State Bar (mandatory)
