Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intellectual Property Litigation Associate for its Orange County office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex IP litigation matters, including patent litigation. Ideal candidates will bring 2–5 years of experience, excellent writing and analytical skills, and a strong academic background. A technical undergraduate degree is considered an asset. This position is being offered through a legal recruitment agency on behalf of the firm.

Location

• Costa Mesa, CA

Duties

• Represent clients in intellectual property and patent litigation matters

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Participate in trial preparation and strategy development

• Conduct legal research and analysis

• Collaborate with other attorneys, experts, and clients throughout case development

• Assist in managing all phases of litigation from initiation to resolution

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation

• At least some hands-on experience with patent litigation

• Strong academic record from a top-tier law school

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar or eligibility for admission

Skills

• Excellent legal writing and research capabilities

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail

• Technical or scientific background is a plus (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering)
