Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in the Greater Los Angeles Area is seeking an Associate Immigration Attorney to join its expanding immigration practice. This full-time position is ideal for attorneys with 1–4 years of immigration law experience who are passionate about advocating for clients in removal defense and family-based immigration matters. Location:

• Los Angeles, California

Duties:

• Represent detained and non-detained clients in immigration court proceedings and before the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice for a wide range of immigration issues

• Prepare and submit legal briefs, motions, and a variety of immigration applications

• Manage a caseload and meet with clients regularly to provide updates and consultations

• Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS interviews and court testimony

• Visit detention centers to conduct client intake as needed

• Collaborate with law enforcement, community organizations, and other stakeholders on immigration-related matters

• Review and revise immigration application packets for accuracy and completeness

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Demonstrated experience handling removal defense, family-based petitions, humanitarian applications, and citizenship matters

• Strong case management skills with the ability to manage a full caseload

• Team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills

• Willingness to travel locally to detention centers and court appearances

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction

• California Bar admission preferred but not required

Skills:

• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

• Familiarity with USCIS and EOIR procedures

• Proficiency in immigration case management software is a plus

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
