Job Title: Defense Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Atlanta, GA, seeks a skilled Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of experience in defense litigation to join a dynamic legal team through a leading recruiting partner. The successful candidate will engage in all facets of litigation from early-stage investigation through resolution, offering hands-on exposure to a wide spectrum of professional liability, general liability, and coverage-related matters. This role is suited for a proactive, detail-oriented attorney looking to deepen their litigation experience in a fast-paced, collegial environment.

Duties:

• Conduct in-depth legal analysis and draft case summaries

• Perform legal research and investigate people, entities, and worksites

• Evaluate cases and develop defense strategies

• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, and hearings

• Draft and argue motions in state and appellate courts

• Coordinate with clients and provide strategic advice

• Prepare witnesses and organizational representatives for proceedings

• Draft defense mediation statements and trial briefs

• Manage multiple active case files under tight timelines

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience handling defense litigation

• Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of complex work independently

• Prior experience with professional liability or insurance coverage is preferred

• The ability to review and analyze financial documentation is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia
