Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks experienced litigation attorneys to join its Atlanta, GA, office. Candidates should possess 1–5 years of insurance defense experience, specifically in insurance coverage, professional liability, and/or general liability, and be licensed to practice in Georgia. Duties

• Evaluate incoming cases to develop strategic action plans, establish budgets, and provide recommendations.

• Identify required pleadings and coordinate tasks with paralegals and support staff.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests; oversee document production processes.

• Attend and report on depositions, hearings, and various discovery proceedings.

• Negotiate case resolutions, secure settlement authority, and prepare for trial when necessary.

• Maintain ongoing communication with legal assistants and paralegals to track case progress and deadlines.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of civil litigation experience focused on insurance coverage, professional liability, and/or general liability matters.

• Active admission to practice law in Georgia (all candidates must be Georgia-licensed).

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn case management software.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse clients, colleagues, and staff.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.
