Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Trust and Estate Litigation Attorney to join their team in the South Bay or East Bay, with options to work from offices in Silicon Valley, Tri-Valley, or Peninsula. The candidate should have extensive experience in Trusts and Estates litigation and a strong interest in advising clients on a wide range of related issues.

Duties

• Represent senior citizens and their families in financial elder abuse litigation.
• Advocate for trustees, executors, administrators, and beneficiaries in trust and probate litigation.
• Handle contests based on lack of capacity, undue influence, or fraud.
• Address the negligent management of assets and failure to account.
• Resolve co-trustee disputes and removal, and surcharge actions.
• Supervise and mentor associates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Trust and Estate litigation.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, consulting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent reputation for integrity and collegiality among both bench and bar.
• The candidate should bring at least a partial book of portable business.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
