Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its commercial litigation practice in Ponte Vedra, FL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in handling litigation cases. Prior commercial litigation experience is not required.

Duties

• Navigate Florida's commercial litigation laws, including contracts and business disputes.
• Prepare motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence.
• Respond to and prepare discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses.
• Attend mediation and settlement conferences.
• Participate in jury trials, non-jury trials, and arbitrations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of litigation experience in Florida.
• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
• Occasional travel required throughout Florida.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills
