Trademark Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Dallas is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in representing large brand owners. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in global and domestic trademark clearance, prosecution, counseling, and enforcement. Experience with oppositions and cancellation actions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as UDRP proceedings, is desired. Additionally, experience with anticounterfeiting and U.S. Customs protocol is a plus. The candidate should have prior experience in a large law firm setting, strong academic credentials, excellent writing skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage a docket with multiple deadlines.

Duties:

• Conduct global and domestic trademark clearance activities to ensure the availability of marks for use and registration.
• Handle trademark prosecution, including filing and managing trademark applications.
• Provide counseling on trademark matters, offering legal advice to clients.
• Experience with oppositions, cancellation actions, and UDRP proceedings.
• Manage anticounterfeiting efforts and U.S. Customs protocol.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a reputable law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 2-5 years of experience in trademark law.
• Prior experience in a large law firm setting (preferred).
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent writing skills.

Skills:
