A Miami-based law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its litigation team, specializing in bodily injury defense. The position offers the opportunity to manage a full caseload from inception through resolution in a collaborative and well-supported environment. This hybrid role provides a mix of in-office and work arrangements, allowing attorneys to focus on strategy and trial preparation without the pressure of hourly billing.
Manage bodily injury defense cases from assignment through resolution
Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and trial briefs
Attend and lead litigation proceedings such as trials, depositions, hearings, and mediations
Collaborate with legal support staff and team attorneys to strategize case direction
Summarize case progress and provide reports to legal leadership
Conduct legal research and apply findings to litigation plans and motions
Develop trial strategies by evolving case dynamics and jurisdictional requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation
Background in bodily injury, personal injury, medical malpractice, or public defense preferred
Experience managing full case files independently
Must possess jury trial experience
Deep understanding of Florida discovery rules, litigation timelines, and trial procedures
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Florida
Member in good standing with the Florida Bar
Effective written and verbal communication
Strong legal analysis and litigation skills
Ability to manage multiple cases in a digital environment
Proficient in case and document management software
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with a proactive work ethic
