Job Overview:

A Miami-based law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its litigation team, specializing in bodily injury defense. The position offers the opportunity to manage a full caseload from inception through resolution in a collaborative and well-supported environment. This hybrid role provides a mix of in-office and work arrangements, allowing attorneys to focus on strategy and trial preparation without the pressure of hourly billing.

Duties:

• Manage bodily injury defense cases from assignment through resolution

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and trial briefs

• Attend and lead litigation proceedings such as trials, depositions, hearings, and mediations

• Collaborate with legal support staff and team attorneys to strategize case direction

• Summarize case progress and provide reports to legal leadership

• Conduct legal research and apply findings to litigation plans and motions

• Develop trial strategies by evolving case dynamics and jurisdictional requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation

• Background in bodily injury, personal injury, medical malpractice, or public defense preferred

• Experience managing full case files independently

• Must possess jury trial experience

• Deep understanding of Florida discovery rules, litigation timelines, and trial procedures

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Florida

• Member in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

• Effective written and verbal communication

• Strong legal analysis and litigation skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases in a digital environment

• Proficient in case and document management software

• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with a proactive work ethic
