Job Title: Senior Family Law Attorney
Job Overview:
A Dallas-based law firm seeks a seasoned Family Law Attorney to join its dedicated legal team. The role involves managing a full caseload from start to finish, including direct client interactions, courtroom representation, and strategic case development. Duties:
Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and modifications
Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and final orders
Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support client strategy
Manage the discovery process and oversee document production and review
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic guidance
Engage in settlement negotiations and court appearances, including hearings and trials
Coordinate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure case efficiency
Maintain accurate timekeeping and documentation in the firm’s case management system
Participate in case strategy sessions with senior attorneys and firm leadership
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of direct family law experience
At least 1 year of courtroom litigation experience
Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
Strong written and verbal advocacy skills
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client matters
Comfortable using Mac-based systems and legal technology platforms
Ability to work well within a team-oriented, client-service-focused environment
Professional demeanor with a positive and resilient attitude
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the State of Texas
