The ideal candidate will be motivated, self-sufficient, and skilled in research, writing, depositions, and discovery procedures.

Location:

• Sacramento, CA

Duties:

• Manage a caseload involving employment law, public entity representation, appellate matters, and personal injury

• Draft and argue motions and other pleadings

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda

• Take and defend depositions

• Handle written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests

• Participate in all stages of litigation, including trial preparation

• Assist in appellate matters as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation

• Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in law and motion practice

• Experience in handling discovery and depositions

• Strong legal writing and analytical abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar

• In good standing with the State Bar of California

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong legal research and drafting capabilities

• Highly organized with attention to detail
