This role involves managing a full caseload of property insurance cases, from initial intake through trial or settlement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for policyholders, have strong litigation experience, and demonstrate excellent communication and case management skills.

Location

Duties

• Independently manage a caseload of first-party property insurance litigation cases

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs

• Conduct legal research and write compelling legal documents

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and depositions

• Engage in all phases of discovery and pre-trial preparation

• Negotiate settlements both informally and through mediation

• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic guidance

• Collaborate with fellow attorneys and contribute to a supportive team culture

• Lead and mentor support staff, including paralegals and administrative personnel

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in first-party property insurance

• Experience handling depositions, mediations, and motion practice

• Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently

• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

• Driven, proactive, and committed to professional growth

• Trial experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills

• Strong legal writing and research proficiency

• Effective oral advocacy and negotiation skills

• Highly organized and detail-oriented
