A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney specializing in Personal Injury to join their team in Hampton, VA. The attorney will manage all phases of litigation, from investigation to settlement, with support from a skilled team.

Duties

• Represent personal injury clients through all litigation phases.
• Handle case files from start to finish.
• Review incident summaries and assess for serious injury.
• Conduct monthly file reviews.
• Draft and review legal documents including claims and motions.
• Meet all filing deadlines.
• Communicate with clients and relevant parties to gather information.
• Negotiate agreements and settlements on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients at hearings, trials, and mediations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in personal injury litigation.
• Significant trial experience required.
• Experience in medical malpractice or wrongful death preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant data technology software.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Education

• Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Membership in the State Bar Association and a state license to practice law.
