A reputable immigration law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Intake Attorney to serve as the first point of contact for potential clients. This role focuses on client consultations, case strategy assessment, and overseeing the intake team to ensure accurate and effective onboarding of new matters. The position is ideal for an immigration attorney with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills, as well as experience in family-based and removal defense immigration matters.

Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess eligibility and provide strategic legal guidance
Supervise intake paralegals and contract preparers to ensure intake documentation is complete and accurate
Oversee assignment of new business intake and communicate case details to the Intake Committee
Assist in recruiting, hiring, and mentoring staff within the intake department
Explain immigration procedures, applications, and legal options to clients and intake staff
Review and adjust immigration applications when needed
Occasionally participate in the development of case strategy and witness preparation for USCIS/court appearances
Conduct legal research and provide analysis of immigration benefits and relief options
Contribute to firm growth by maintaining high-quality client service and intake operations
3–5 years of experience in immigration law
Demonstrated experience in conducting legal consultations and case evaluations
Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a legal setting
Background in client engagement, legal intake, or legal sales is a plus
Ability to effectively manage deadlines and high-volume intake environments
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Active bar membership in any U.S. state or territory (California preferred)
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Strong organizational and team management abilities
Proficiency in immigration forms and legal requirements
Familiarity with USCIS applications, EOIR matters, and humanitarian relief
Experience using immigration case management software (preferred)
Ability to identify issues quickly and propose practical legal solutions
