Job Overview:
A well-established law firm, seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team in Berwyn, Illinois. This full-time role requires handling a diverse range of cases for government clients across several legal areas. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of litigation experience, with a passion for working in both federal and state courts.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including tort, contract disputes, civil rights, labor and employment, and more.
• Defend and prosecute cases related to real estate, construction, environmental, and employment law.
• Handle cases in federal and state courts, focusing on local prosecutions and administrative reviews.
• Provide legal counsel and representation for government clients.
• Appear before administrative agencies and manage workers' compensation matters.
• Draft legal documents, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to prepare case strategies and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with government clients.
• Proven ability to handle diverse legal issues, including tort, contracts, civil rights, and employment law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
• Ability to manage complex cases and meet deadlines.
• Professional and ethical conduct at all times.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.

Skills:

• Expertise in handling litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
• Strong research skills, including proficiency in Westlaw and other legal research tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
