Job Overview:

A well-established mid-sized law firm located in Denver is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its Family Law Department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle all aspects of family law cases, including dissolution of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, post-decree enforcement, and modifications. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial attorney with a client-facing approach who is eager to grow their practice.

Location:

• Denver, Colorado

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of domestic relations cases, including dissolution of marriage, parental responsibilities, post-decree enforcement, and modifications
• Manage cases independently with minimal oversight
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding family law matters
• Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and responses
• Advocate on behalf of clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients
• Grow and expand an existing family law practice

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in family law, including dissolution of marriage, child custody, post-decree enforcement, and modifications
• Courtroom experience, including hearings and trials
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Colorado in good standing

Certifications:

• Admission to the Colorado State Bar (in good standing)

• Extensive experience in family law matters
