Duties:

• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Advise clients on legal strategies and possible outcomes based on case analysis
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution when appropriate
• Participate in court hearings and depositions
• Maintain detailed case files and manage deadlines effectively
• Collaborate with team members to develop defense strategies and ensure case progression

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience in civil litigation defense, preferably with a focus on insurance and personal injury cases
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage a high caseload with efficiency and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaboration within the team
• Comfortable working in a hybrid role, with both remote and in-office duties

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California, in good standing with the California State Bar
