A reputable law firm based in Florham Park, New Jersey is seeking a Family Law Attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join a growing and active family law practice. This role involves managing a caseload from intake to resolution, representing clients in emotionally sensitive matters such as divorce, custody, and domestic violence. The ideal candidate will possess strong advocacy skills, excellent legal writing abilities, and the capacity to handle litigation and negotiations with compassion and professionalism.

Duties

• Represent clients in all aspects of family law litigation including divorce, custody, support, alimony, and domestic violence matters

• Conduct client consultations to assess legal needs and provide strategic counsel

• Prepare and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, subpoenas, and document requests

• Draft settlement agreements, child custody arrangements, and Case Information Statements

• Analyze financial documents such as tax returns and assist in financial disclosures

• Appear in court, mediations, arbitrations, and conferences as needed

• Maintain communication with clients, updating them on case progress and legal options

• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys on case strategy and file management

• Maintain organized case files and ensure timely follow-up and task completion

Requirements

• Minimum of 3–6 years of experience practicing family law

• Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload independently

• Experience with court appearances, client representation, and litigation strategy

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sensitivity to emotionally charged matters

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey
