Job Title: Junior to Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Palo Alto-based law firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its Structured Finance practice. This role focuses on complex derivatives and structured financial instruments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate familiarity with ISDA documentation, over-the-counter derivatives, and regulatory compliance protocols such as those under Dodd-Frank. Duties:

• Draft and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, including Schedules, Credit Support Annexes, and Confirmations

• Support transactional and regulatory aspects of structured finance matters

• Interpret and apply financial regulations such as those under Dodd-Frank and related protocols

• Conduct legal research and prepare client advisories or memoranda as needed

• Collaborate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders

• Maintain awareness of market developments in derivatives and regulatory standards

• Participate in client meetings and provide strategic legal counsel

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in work product delivery

• Handle assignments independently while coordinating with team members

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of focused experience in structured finance and derivatives

• Demonstrated expertise in ISDA-based agreements and related financial documentation

• Strong grasp of OTC derivatives and applicable regulatory frameworks

• Ability to manage complex workflows under tight deadlines

• Experience in a large, nationally recognized law firm preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California
