Job Overview:
A mid-size national civil litigation and insurance defense firm is seeking experienced attorneys to join its growing team. This position is ideal for candidates with 3-10 years of experience in personal injury litigation and/or insurance defense. The role offers the flexibility of hybrid and remote work options, depending on experience, and provides opportunities to work on a variety of civil cases, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.

Location:

• Tarrytown, NY

Duties:

• Handle personal injury litigation and insurance defense matters from start to finish.

• Manage civil cases through trial, including depositions, oral arguments, and hearing attendance.

• Negotiate settlements and report case developments to clients.

• Draft and file motions, legal memoranda, and other court documents.

• Collaborate with legal teams to strategize and support ongoing litigation.

• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines.

• Participate in client meetings and provide ongoing legal counsel.

Requirements:

• 3-10 years of experience in personal injury litigation and/or insurance defense.

• Experience in motion practice, trial preparation, and taking depositions.

• Ability to manage civil litigation cases independently.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a legal team.

• Must be licensed to practice law in New York (required); New Jersey licensure is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York Bar (required).

• New Jersey Bar membership (preferred).

Skills:

• Strong litigation and trial experience, including deposition and motion practice.

• Proficient in legal research and case preparation.

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

• Comfortable with technology and remote work tools.
