Duties

• Manage all phases of litigation including client intake, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial

• Serve as lead counsel in litigation matters, including representing clients in court hearings and trials

• Maintain regular and direct communication with clients, offering strategic counsel and litigation updates

• Draft legal documents such as complaints, answers, discovery responses, and trial briefs

• Collaborate with internal legal teams to develop effective case strategies

• Supervise support staff and junior attorneys on litigation assignments

• Work with external experts and consultants as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in general civil litigation

• Proven ability to handle a caseload independently from inception to resolution

• Strong background in trial preparation and courtroom litigation

• Portable book of business (preferred but not required)

• Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey (required)
