Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced commercial real estate finance attorney in New York, New York (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of experience representing lenders in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, joining a dynamic commercial real estate lending practice.

Duties

• Represent institutional and private equity lenders in financing commercial and mixed-use properties from inception to closing.
• Draft senior, subordinate, mezzanine, preferred equity, and related loan documents to secure applicable tranches of the capital stack.
• Perform detailed review and necessary revisions of organizational documents for borrowing entities.
• Draft, review, and revise commitment letters, term sheets, fee letters, credit agreements, and ancillary loan documents.
• Oversee real estate secured finance transactions, workouts, and restructurings.
• Review title reports, surveys, and oversee title clearance.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in New York.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent legal writing and drafting skills.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
