A growing plaintiff-side wage and hour class action firm based in San Diego is seeking a motivated and collaborative Class/PAGA Litigation Attorney. This hybrid position offers a healthy work-life balance, minimal after-hours demands, and a strong support system including legal assistants, paralegals, and peer attorneys. Ideal for attorneys with at least 1 year of experience in California civil litigation, and preferably some background in class action or employment law.

Location

Duties

• Assess and manage class action and PAGA cases involving wage and hour violations

• Draft and file complaints, discovery, and motions

• Attend and conduct virtual court appearances

• Collaborate with team members to advance case timelines efficiently

• Supervise paralegals and legal assistants on assigned matters

• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel in a professional, solution-focused manner

• Utilize internal case management tools and software to maintain efficiency and consistency

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in California (required)

• Minimum 1 year of experience in California civil litigation (required)

• At least 1 year of experience in employment law and/or class action litigation (preferred)

• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills

• Willingness to operate in a collaborative, low-conflict, team-oriented environment

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively

• Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis for legal research

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active California State Bar license (required)

Skills

• Legal drafting and motion practice

• Litigation strategy and case evaluation

• Written and verbal advocacy

• Positive negotiation and client communication

• Familiarity with software platforms including Google Workspace, Lawyaw, and internal legal systems

• Ability to work both independently and in close coordination with a legal team
