A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Herndon, VA. This role involves representing financial institutions in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and related legal matters. The position offers a hybrid work environment with opportunities for local court-related travel.

Duties

• Represent clients in foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related court proceedings.
• Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
• Attend court hearings both in person and virtually.
• Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff.
• Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice.

Requirements

• Licensed in Virginia; Maryland licensure preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered.
• Bankruptcy experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and driven.
• Multi-state licensure is a bonus.
• Litigation or collections experience is a bonus.
• Federal licensure is a bonus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Virginia; Maryland preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based legal platforms.
