Job Overview:

A reputable mid-Atlantic law firm is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join its Baltimore, MD office. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to handle complex litigation matters with a focus on personal injury and property damage defense. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant litigation experience and be barred in Maryland. Additional bar admissions in DC, PA, or VA are strongly preferred.

Location:

• Baltimore, MD

Duties:

• Represent clients in a wide range of insurance defense litigation matters

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery

• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies

• Attend depositions, hearings, and client meetings

• Manage high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines

• Maintain regular communication with clients and internal teams

Requirements:

• 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience

• Experience in personal injury and property damage defense

• Familiarity with complex general liability, toxic torts, construction, transportation law, and premises liability

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Must be barred in Maryland

• Admission in DC, VA, or PA is a plus

• 4–8 years' total experience preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Maryland (Required)

• Bar admission in DC, VA, or PA (Preferred)
