This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of Certified Family Law Specialists while managing cases from start to finish and gaining valuable courtroom experience.

Location:

• San Diego, CA

Duties:

• Handle family law matters from start to finish, including custody, visitation, support, protective orders, and divorce cases.
• Develop and manage family law cases by conducting legal research on various issues.
• Review, analyze, and draft legal documents.
• Communicate with clients of varying sophistication levels regarding legal matters with compassion and professionalism.
• Track and manage billable hours.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex family law cases.
• Engage in innovative problem-solving and creative thinking for case strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of family law experience.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Strong communication, litigation, and legal writing skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while supporting senior attorneys as needed.
• Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) or eligibility for certification is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active California Bar license required.
• CFLS certification or eligibility is a plus.
